IVEMA - International Vehicle and Equipment Marketing (Pty) Ltd - is a limited liability company incorporated in accordance with the laws of South Africa.

IVEMA is a South African defence industry company which specialises in providing innovative and specialised solutions for landward requirements of defence, security and humanitarian aid clients. IVEMA designs, develops and produces vehicles for military, public security and humanitarian aid tasks with a particular emphasis on mine and ballistic protection. IVEMA also provides customised and specialised vehicle advisory services, vehicle maintenance programmes, field equipment, training simulator programmes, technical training programmes and documentation services necessary to support vehicle fleets and product support services.

IVEMA applies its experience and expertise to develop vehicle and weapon sub-system design solutions that have been manufactured in-conjunction with the client. IVEMA’s Core Capabilities cover a broad range of products and services that serve clients in military, public safety and humanitarian fields.

In 2005 IVEMA designed and developed the GILA 4X4 Mine Resistant and Ambush Protected (MRAP) family of vehicles and is currently producing the GILA in South Africa for export.

The GILA is currently in service with seven African armed services in the Armoured Personnel Carrier and Battlefield Ambulance variants. Variants of the GILA 4x4 MRAP include a Missile Platform, Mortar Platform, Battlefield Re-supply vehicle, Command and Control Post and a VIP Command vehicle.

IVEMA also provides marketing services for a number of defence related companies. This invaluable marketing service provides companies with proven niche products and services on a wide international exposure at a low marketing cost level.

Since 2000 IVEMA has also provided various clients in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and South America with military and security vehicle remanufacture solutions.

IVEMA (Pty) Ltd is registered with the National Conventional Arms Control Committee (NCACC) which is a statutory body controlling conventional arms manufacture, export and import in South Africa.

The ownership and management of IVEMA includes former military officers, specialised military vehicle engineers and automotive specialists who are able to provide top-class individual solutions for every client, which are based on the client’s need.
